I joined the ARRL. Because my employer matches charitable donations over $50 I joined for 3 years so that my deductible amount was $66 so that they could match it. After a few emails I think it actually happened. There's a lot to read in QRZ magazine which I now get every month and I tend to always learn something from it so I'm enjoying it a lot. Plus it amuses my wife to see pictures of people on extreme DXpeditions. I like that the ARRL is looking out for ham frequencies and keeping ontop of the political side of things.
